Canker sores on the back of snakebites?

just one of mine did that on the inside of my lip and outside. I did the salt water rinses, brushed and mouthwash after everytime i ate, and put neosporin on the outside of my lip twice a day. It eventually healed up after a couple of weeks. Im not sure exactly what it is.
