Law enforcement tips?

When you get into college (Departments are starting to require a degree) apply for a part time as retail security. Busting shoplifters gives you access to officers in a working relationship. The more you catch, the more you see them/ they see you and your work. Leave a clean paper trail! The background check is intensive. Get along with neighbors, keep your credit clean, clean driving record and NO DRUGS/DUI or MIP's! I personally work in retail security and am asked all the time to get a degree. My girl is in the military going career so it wouldn't really work if I was hired by a department and she would have to move every 2-6 years. Being a Loss Prevention Manager is more pratical for me but Loss Prevention could open the door for you! Good luck!
