Does your toddler eat supper with you?

my 19 month old usually eats around 5:30, because he goes to bed at 7:30, his choice he always asks to go night noght....n e way, my husband and I often eat later at night, so I feed my son different foods than we eat. I feel guilty about it. I'm also nervous about giving him rough meats and things. Rely a bit on the gerber graduates pasta pick ups. does anyone else feed their children seperatly?
