Is it ok to feed a 3 days newborn with 1 oz similac every 2 hours?

I have a newborn which i cannot feed yet, and i use the similac formula. Every aprox. 2 hours, the baby starts being agitated, sucking her hand, and crying so hard until she turn red. The nurse told me not to use formula less than 3 hours between feedings, but i dont know what to do, because the baby asks for it with the hunger sings, even if i check her for wet dipers.
