Fines for a PUBLIC saftey Hazzard!?!?

i was in a mini mall and i was going down a flight of stairs and i fell down 5 stairs because they were wet. Nowhere around me, or in this mini mall was there a sign saying Wet Floors. I know that this is a public saftey hazzard. I broke my shoe, and im going to the doctor to check my knee from the fall. ( last year i tore my acl). We called the managers of the mini mall and the real estate managers but they didnt answer. How much of a fine can they get for failing to put up the saftey sign?
