Help with My Sims (DS)?

I'm stuck on star level 2 on My Sims for the DS. I have talked to the cake guy, costomized the Highlands, gone paragliding, bought cakes and gotten news from Charlie, advanced in Racquetball, and advanced in lei making, yet I still have a large gap left in my star meter. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?
