Spray on stone texture for counter?

I've use that, I don't think it would work well on a counter top. I tried it on a table and and surface that gets a lot of use it will tend to sort of chip off because of the rough texture. I don't think you can sand it either. I think an enamel spray paint and clear coat would last a lot longer.
