Destroying Cd's........?

Ok ive just destoryed about 50 cd's. Ended up starting out cutting with scissors at the top and finishing in the centre to leave a mive half breakage through the disk but the dvdr disk is still intact - is this disk now unreadable if the dodgy binman comes snopping through the bins?
