What should I do about this nursing question?

ok so I just started college this month and I signed up for nursing. Well when I talked to my student advisor they said that to become an rn I need to apply for the rn program, but I want to be an lpn. So I guess my question is what am I signed up for as of now I mean I know it's nursing but that's all I've been able to find out. Am Ii signed up for an ociates in nursing or what I'm really confused and the people I'm told to talk to only confuse me more and if I am signed up for the ociates in nursing what can you do with that degree?
